This week is the beginning of Hanukkah for Jewish and Advent for Christians. Both religions ceremonies involve ceremonial lighting of candles. Hanukkah represents dedication for Jewish persons. Advent represents a season of love and peace leading to Christmas, the celebration of Jesus the Christ. Islam recognizes the birth of Jesus who was the last great prophet before Mohammad (PBUH) but does not celebrate Christmas. Islam has its season of Ramadan with celebrations of Eid al Fitr and Eid al Adha. The dates of these move earlier each year.

How do you celebrate?
